WildFlowers exists to celebrate North Florida’s live oak groves and wildflower meadows, cypress domes and sinkhole marshes, lakeshore mudflats and floodplain swamps.
Help us restore the land by minimizing impacts, respecting wildlife, and keeping noise low, especially near boundaries shared with our neighbors.
Hours & Access
Park is open: One hour before sunrise to One hour after sunset.
After-hours access can be arranged. Please enter through gates.
Do not trespass onto adjacent private property.
Trails, Habitats & Closures
Trails are marked, but walking anywhere within park boundaries is allowed.
Please keep vehicles on main roads and designated parking areas.
Help us protect habitat for ground-nesting birds, tortoises, and other animals and plants. No driving in wet areas, tall grass, or under large trees (it damages their roots).
Wildlife Safety
Observe wildlife from a distance. Do not feed or frighten.
Be aware of snakes, insects, and uneven ground.
Check for ticks.
Report injured or distressed animals, and do not approach as some may have rabies.
Water Access
Canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards are allowed. Lakes and marsh edges can be mucky and unstable.
There is no lifeguard on duty.
Fishing is permitted with Florida fishing license.
Please remove all tackle and bait.
All Florida waters are home to alligators; they are most dangerous when in shallow water near shore.
Fires & Cooking
Use off-ground stoves or grills for cooking.
Open fires are only allowed during special events in designated areas.
Waste & Sanitation
Pack out all trash.
Use provided recycling and compost bins where labeled.
Use porta-potties.
Diapers and wipes should go into trash, not toilets.
Noise & Courtesy
Quiet hours are 10:00 pm – 8:00 am.
No amplified music except during county-approved events.
Pets
Dogs must be on a 6-foot leash at all times – this is to protect wildlife and minimize conflicts with other animals.
Pick up pet waste and pack it out.
Aggressive animals or inconsiderate owners must leave the park.
Vehicles, Bikes & Horses
15 mph speed limits for all vehicles.
Yield to pedestrians and wildlife.
Park only in designated areas.
Bicycles and horseback riding allowed on signed routes; yield to pedestrians; do not cut new paths.
No off-road motorized use except for accessibility or staff.
Electric golf carts and one-wheel boards are allowed, but must also drive below 15 mph and stick to roads and trails.
Camping
Overnight camping is not allowed by county ordinance except during permitted events.
Drones & Photography
Recreational drones require a written permit; they will be prohibited over crowds, wildlife colonies, and neighbor's properties.
Commercial filming and photography is allowed with prior park approval.
Commercial Activity & Events
Tours, classes, wellness sessions, vending, and guided activities are generally allowed with prior permission, and subject to applicable county permits or state licenses.
During events, additional rules may apply.
Alcohol, Drugs & Prohibited Items
Alcohol only in permitted event areas; ID required.
Illegal drugs prohibited.
No hunting, fireworks, explosives, or firearms.
Accessibility
Trails are all natural-surface.
Ask staff about accessible options, drop-offs, and assistance.
Emergencies & Hazards
Call 911 first. Then alert staff at the gate or posted number.
Severe weather may prompt temporary evacuations or closures-follow staff instructions.
Enforcement
Failure to follow rules or staff directions may result in removal and loss of future access.
Park assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen items; use common sense and lock vehicles.
