A new nonprofit venue in North Florida will host live music, creative workshops, and outdoor gatherings.

MELROSE, FL (August 2025) — WildFlowers Music Park has finalized the purchase of 270 acres of land in Melrose, Florida, marking the beginning of a new nonprofit venue that aims to create a sanctuary for families, artists, and communities to gather and grow through music and dance.

WildFlowers Music Park is rooted in the belief that music, nature, and community are powerful forces for connection and renewal. Envisioned as a gathering ground rather than a traditional venue, the park will offer a minimal and mindful landscape — a place where people can dance under the stars, learn by the fire, and reconnect with each other and the Earth. Through family campouts, educational retreats, music festivals, and creative experiences, WildFlowers aims to cultivate an atmosphere that feels both timeless and grounded — one that grows in harmony with the land and those who visit it.

The park is the latest vision from Jordan Puryear, who previously co-created and helped grow several well-known GrassRoots! music festivals. While Puryear was a founding force behind past music festival successes, WildFlowers Music Park is a wholly new and independent project — one guided by fresh intention, a new team, and a deep desire to create a soulful space for community, creativity, and celebration.

“GrassRoots was a dream, dreamt by thousands of people — and now WildFlowers carries that same spirit,” said Puryear. “It’s a chance to build something worthy and beautiful and helpful for a world in need, with music, nature, and community at its core.”

“My personal involvement with Jordan Puryear goes back nearly 15 years — and I’ve seen firsthand how his ideas become reality,” said Guy Forchion, Board President of WildFlowers Music Park. “I’m honored to help shape this new chapter in Melrose, and excited to see it grow from the ground up as a space for real community and connection.”

With the land purchase now complete, the team will begin consulting with environmental and infrastructure experts to lay the groundwork for access roads, electricity, and essential facilities. The first stages and gathering spaces will follow shortly after, with plans to host intimate, small scale events and community gatherings before the end of the year.

WildFlowers is more than a park — it’s a place built by the hands and hearts of its community. If you feel called to help build, share your art, teach under the trees, or simply be part of something growing from the ground up, visit Wildflowersmusicpark.org to learn more, sign up as a volunteer, or apply to be among our first artists, educators, or vendors.
